On a break....

I just got a full time job, so my couponing and blogging will be going on a break. I hope to still have time to get good deals, but I definatly won't have time to blog about it :( Check out Amanda Saves at www.amandashopsandsaves.blogspot.com She and I get most of the same deals anyway!! THanks :)

I know.... I know.... I'm late!!!!

Alrighty, I know that i am several days late! But here are some deals that I got over the last several days.

Photobucket
Ok, all in all, these were all free with ECBs or with ECBs and coupons, some money makers with coupons. I had ZERO OOP and saved 154.30 :)

And here was my trip for Walgreens this week...CVS was weak so I didn't go :)

Ok, so I did my normal grocery shopping and thanksgiving... I didn't get any crazy deals except for free frozen veggies (on sale for $1, .35 q tripled making it free) and the HEB meal deal. My total between Kroger and HEB was 128, I'll add that and my savings below.

YUMM-O!!!

If you are local to the Houston area, I have to pass along this information! My friend Janae (Confessions of the Stay at home mom) has a husband who is an AMAZING cook!! Right now, just in time for the holidays, he is selling some of his famous tamales! They come in chicken or beef, and they are HUGE and delish!! :) They are $8 for a half dozen or $16 for a full dozen. Yummy yummy... contact Janae at JanaeKrell@gmail.com if you are interested!!

Moms, Future Moms, Moms To Be, Grandmas ect

This is a deal that simply can not be passed up!! Thanks to Janae (Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom- Blog) I found out about an awesome deal on Britax Marathon Carseats...these typically retail for $279.99 and are on sale at Target for 59.99 and 42.99. These are the best carseats on the market (in my humble opinion) they have the best safety rating, hence the typical hefty price tag. Anyway, there is also FREE SHIPPING!! Click the links below!!

The Cowmooflage is $59.99 Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat - Cowmooflage : Target
The Granite is $42.99 Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat - Granite : Target

Good luck! Shop soon so that they are still there!!! :)

Took a break, now I'm back :)

Ok, I decided that I needed a break last week. I have started watching some kids in my home and I've just been really busy! So, last week I took off, now I'm back! Unfortunatly, Wags doesn't seem to have anything for me this week, I'm going to check again to make sure, but I did hit up CVS. They had already been wiped out of the Glade Glass Scents that I wanted... GRRR there are some more local couponers that CLEAN OUT THE STORE! Word to the wise...don't do that, it only pisses people off. If you want more, go to a few stores. If you only have one, ask the manager to order more from you (ahead of time of course)

Also, Amanda and I (Amanda Shops and Saves Blog, listed to the left) had a garage sale this weekend! It went really well, I made $325 selling off my stockpile and some old baby clothes. I am taking that off of my out of pocket since it was more money made :)

Anyway, back to the deals.

Believe It Or Not...

I have done very little shopping this week! I have just been really busy. So I made a trip out tonight to walgreens to use the $5/$20 that is only good through the end of today. Since you have to spend $20 BEFORE coupons I usually don't use these, but I decided to go ahead and get the FAR(Free After Rebate) items for the month. ONLY TWO, I was bummed. Anyway, heres what went down :)

Eating Out

EDIT: I just realized I put an s on Restaurant...the link is now working :)

I just discovered the most amazing thing! Restaurant.com. Now, don't think I'm trying to make this blog all commercial or push stuff, I'm just really excited about it! DH and I had talked about just simply cutting out all restaurants. But we LOVE to eat out! This is the perfect solution.

Restaurants.com sells "gift certificates" but they really work more like coupons. When entering in the code "save" it takes 70% off the already low price. For instance, we love this little Italian place up the road. They have a $25 gift certificate for $10, with the "save" code it is knocked down to $3!! $3 for a $25 gift certificate. Now, they all have different exclusions. This one you have to spend $35 to use it. So you really pay $10 (assuming its exactly $35) and the $3 you already paid. $13 for a $35 dinner is certainly not bad :)

I am just too excited! I spend $13.90 and got 4 $25 gift certificates and 2 $10 ones. YAY

Pictures Today

I want to do a little side blog today some pictures we had taken today. Tina Zak did a great job with our family! Check out her blog http://tinazak.blogspot.com/ If you are in the Houston area and need some pictures taken, shes your girl! Thanks Tina!!
Our daughter, we do "I Love You" signs and "kiss" our hands together. She showed us her I love you sign then kissed them together. She melts my heart :)

Our Family!! While our baby didn't quite cooperate, the pictures turned out beautifully!

Not too exciting....

Back to HEB Buddy Buck

First let me say that I LOVE COMMENTS :) If you stop by my blog, let me know :) I am more than willing to answer questions, help you get started, or explain something. Or, if you have tips for me, I would LOVE to hear them!!

Its been quite some time since I have been to HEB and while Kroger doubles/triples coupons they have been on my nerves lately. I decided to help out my grocery bill, I'm just going to shop sales, and make meals from that. Today's trips were a bit higher because DH HAD to have pop that wasn't on sale, I made a donation for Breast Cancer and I bought 6 lbs of hamburger and 5 lbs of chicken to help replenish the stockpile I lost in Hurricane Ike. I also went to Randalls to check things out there...

First, HEB has "meal deals" buy x and get y free. Usually there are several y's. :) There are also deals coupled in pairs in a true buy x get y fashion.

Ok, little side note on the chicken. Some hard core couponers refuse to pay people to "de-skin and bone" their chicken. However, this is just one of those things that I am more than willing to pay for. I can hardly stand to trim the fat off much less rip a whole chicken apart.... just a little comment there :)

Why do I buy them when i don't use them... well I have an awful addiction to taking anything out of the store that they will give me for free. Getting paid to buy stuff, that addiction is even stronger!! LOL Heres how it went down

OOP ZERO... got back 9.96 per card :)

A little tip about CVS/Walgreens, at CVS you can get your cashier to "push through" your ECBs and loose the last bit of change on there, that way you don't have to get something else and pay more money for something you don't want. Now Walgreens on the other hand, your purchases HAVE to equal the Register Reward amount BEFORE tax.

Also, RRs at Walgreens count as coupons. So, if you have 3 items and 3 coupons to go with them and want to pay with an RR, you have to get another item.. called a filler. Just the cheapest thing you can find. If you have 4 items and 3 coupons and want to pay with 1 RR, no worries, no need for a filler. At CVS the ECBs do not count as coupons. Just FYI :)

Double Dip Days at Walgreens

Wow, Im starting to feel like a Wags girl... I used to be CVS all the way. I feel like I am cheating. LOL

What is double dipping? For two days each month Walgreen's Easy Saver books overlap. You can use a coupon from one book with a rebate from the other, or try to use two coupons on the same item from each book... this is a little tricky and sometimes they won't let you.

Anyway, got some great deals today and last night when Amanda and I went out cruising the stores. Some is from lastnight (me rolling $5 Reach RR's for for $10 Robitussin ones) and then the rest is from today.
