Walgreens and Kroger

Walgreens

Alright, I only did two transactions at Walgreens. I may run back up there tonight, if not, I will do more later in the week. I did two identical transactions that looked like this

1 Mitchem deod $2.99 used $.75 coupon
1 Skintimate Shaving cream $2.99
Tums duel action $7.99 used $3 coupon
3 Easter Candies as fillers $.12

Paid with RRs and Giftcard, got back $2 for Mitchem, and $3 each for skintimate and tums.

3 Angel Soft TP @ $.99 used $.50 coupon, doubled
3 Domino Sugar @ $.89 used $.35 tripled
3 McCormic @ $.99 used $1.00 coupon
Now, these both got messed up. Both times included a manager messing things up and saying I could only triple/double the first...she ended up tripling and doubling everything in the end. But, in both of them, she forgot one sugar coupon. Now, I may return these, I'm not sure, but I figure the Coupon God's keep everything in a sort of balance. Sometimes things work out better in my favor, sometimes the other way around. So... anyway, we shall see :)

Randalls and Kroger

RANDALLS

I know, I know...Randalls again! For those of you who don't have "randalls" it does go by other names like Safeway, Dominics...there may be others. Anyway...

I went to get 16 packs of Bertolli, but they only had 6. The deal is, buy $30 worth of a list of products (Bertolli being one of them) and get a $10 OYNO cat. So I needed to get 15 packs to hit that number, however, for every 2 packs you buy you get a $2 OYNO, so I wanted to buy in even numbers. Anyway, they are free after the cats, but not a money maker wtih the $10 cat. They said they should have more tomorrow so we shall see.

KROGER

Kroger was a bit more eventful. I did two transactions for these deals. A bunch of my coupons weren't going through so he manually did it... I think this gave me overage on alot of things. It broke down like this...

More Deals

This has been a really busy weekend for me, so I am kind of lumping everything from the last few days into one.

Kroger

Photobucket

I love RX coupons :) I used a coupon from CVS (Kroger takes competitors coupons) and recieved a pharmacy credit of $25 on my Kroger card. My first transaction acutally was negative .85 because I forgot about overage from the Quaker coupon, so i quickly grabbed some candy, I HATE this... its such a habit I have to reach and grab the first thing I see that would eat up overage... I had more grocerys from the second transaction I should have grabbed, but in the middle of it, I freak and just grab. My second trans for $14.xx but that was out of my RX money, so nothing OOP :)

Next, Walgreens

I did another reach deal, but it is already in the garage sale pile :) I also got 5 BIC Soliel razors (only 4 pictured, one got lost in my car for the picture) they were on clearance forWags $3.59, we have $2.00 off coupons from the 3/15 SS (smart source) coupon inserts, AND Wags has the easy saver coupon for $2.00 of each pack, making this a $0.41 MM EACH. I also got a princess plate for DD to eat up overage :)

Photobucket

Today I did the Hunt's Tomato Sauce deal, where I got 11 cans and will be a .42 money maker :) WOO HOO!!

Photobucket

Target was awesome thanks to Amanda, they had these Gilette bodywashes on a side cap (LOL) for $2 and we had $2 coupons, so I got 10 of these (DH already stole one for the shower). And I am still using up my huggies coupons on wipes. The larger bag is $5.99 with a $5 coupon making it .99 and the other two tubs give .61 cents overage, woo hoo! I also forgot to picture applesauce, it is $1.62 and I used $1 target coupon and a .55 printable making it .07 :)

First Things First

I wanted to start a blog to start tracking my savings. I want to know about what budget I can realistically set for myself, both for food/hba products and for clothing ect. While I am going to list some deals that I got before this month, my tracking is going to start as of September 1st, 2008.

So far this month, I have made 3 shopping trips. One each at CVS, Kroger, and Target.

Last week, Target had a special, purchase 4 Kellogs products, receive a $5 gift card. My transaction was as follows.

12 boxes of Poptarts
-6 $1/2 coupons (q)
-12 .50 off target qs
Total $15 receive $15 gift card.

I did this transaction twice totaling 24 boxes, the second time using the $15 in gift cards. I could have done less out of pocket to start, but I want to use a $10 mail in rebate. Therefore, in the end, I spent $5 out of pocket and received $15 in gift cards, making this a $10 profit.

Photobucket

Why so many poptarts? First of all, if you are being paid to take stuff out of the store, why wouldn’t you take it? Secondly, my husband and daughter love poptarts J There is no way we will eat all of these before they expire, so we have shared some with neighbors and plan to use some as trades for other products and coupons.

CVS this week was very eventful! CVS has an extra care bucks program (ECB). Certain items every week and month have ECBs offered on them. I have two cards, one each for Dave and I. Here was my transaction this week.

Kroger

This trip wasn’t as good as most. Dave picked out two recipies in which the ingredients ended up being very expensive having to buy oils and seasonings that we didn’t have. However, the trip turned out pretty good.

Amount of coupons $36.95
