I'm in a funk!

I NEED A BREAK! I just don't want to coupon right now.... well, thats not entirely true. I don't want to grocery coupon. I do NOT want to set foot in a Randalls or Kroger until the new Kroger right by me opens. I don't know what my deal is! CVS and Walgreens aren't a big deal but it just seems that ever since DD broke her arm at a "Free" thing that ended up costing me around $150 I'm just a bit burned.

I will still post what I do buy and I'm still planning to stay within my $100/mo budget, but I just need a bit of a break!

Sorry, Ive been slacking

Well I guess not really because I haven't been doing any shopping, but we've been a bit busy. Friday we went to take part in Cow Appreication day at Chick-fil-a. Come dress up like a cow and get free food...
Well, so much for saving money with the free food. Peyton's (on the left) arm was broken while in the playground area. So really, the free food thus far has cost me a $100 ER copay, $25 I'm out for swim lessons and I am sure at least a few $40 co-pays for specialist visits. So yeah....fun stuff.

Moral of the story... watch your kids like a hawk.

Kroger Run....

Amanda and I ran to Kroger in Katy to get some items. I still have more coupons but don't enjoy doing more than 3 transactions! LOL

I had to break them up because of Kroger's limit of 3 identical coupons per transaction. This week is their Datona sale, buy 10 items from the list and get $3 taken off of your total.

First the items not included in the Datona deal

9 Boxes of Minute Maid Frozen Treats $1 used $.50 coupon doubled = Free

9 McCormick @ $1 used 9 $.50 coupons doubled = Free

12 Suave deod $1 used $.50 doubled (Amanda threw 3 in with one of her trans)

2 Boxes of Fruit Snacks $1.79 ea used $.50/2 and shortcuts.com q on my card but ONCE AGAIN the coupon wasn't taken off. Doesn't surprise me, they never work.

2 Bags of Cheetos $1.66

Total OOP $20.54. High, but I did expect that since I got 8 bottles of laundry detergent. Good to me!!

Total OOP for July $81.08. Wow, its only the 5th. I have a feeling I will go over this month... only a hunch though :) LOL We do have our garage sale in 2 weeks but I don't typically take that out of my budget, I just consider it extras. We shall see :)

Walmart and Target

Alright, so alot of the food items I bought are not pictured here. We had to do a quick drop off before going back out so most things were put away.

Here were some of the things that I did get that rocked. I do have to say also... good things come to those who wait... ok so this usually isn't the case with couponing but that B!tchy cashier that wouldn't let me use my Hefty coupons on the trial size of 7... THANKS! I got to get full sized boxes and I didn't even have to fight with you!! (Walmart dropped the price from 2 something to $1) Thanks Manager Lydia for making my deal even sweeter!! :)

13 Reach Floss $1 used $1 coupon = Free

13 Kotex Pads $1 used $1 coupon = Free

12 boxes of Hefty Bags $1 used $1 coupon = Free

Freshetta Pizza $5 used $1 peelie on box

2 A1 sauce $2.08 used $2 coupon = $.08/ea

Ok, and lots of other random food items :)

Total OOP: 52.21

OK, I thought I was going to have a problem here when the not so nice cashier trainer offered to check me out. Fortunately he didn't give a big fight. I don't think he believed me (gave me the "one per purchase" line) But I still got what I wanted :) It just irritates me that he is the one TEACHING the cashiers and he still does know... also goes with the other woman trainer.... grrrr...

Anyway, on with the deals

Dryer Ice cream $2.33 used $1 target coupon
13 Dawn $2.49 used 13 $.50 target coupons and 13 $1.50 manu coupon = $.49/ea

Total OOP $8.33

Total OOP for July $60.54

Yes I know about the Dryer Ice cream that is $1.19, but its cheaper to get the bigger one. Some stores have it for $1.12 and that may be a bit cheaper, but this worked best for us!!

And yeah this is a high start for the month...hopefully the rest will taper off!

Woo hoo!

Change of June total. I recieved $10 in Swiffer rebates a few days ago. That makes me feel much better about my totals :) I will be doing some shopping later this afternoon, so watch for a post!

Happy 4th of July!!! Be safe!
